Turning messy problems into working software.
I'm Kidus Bezuayeho, a Full Stack Developer based in Los Angeles. I build APIs, interactive dashboards, and AI pipelines that simplify people's days.

I got my reps in through internships and school — shipping real features on deadlines, not just tutorial todos. Lately I'm spending more time on side projects and GitHub; the stats and playlists below are just the stuff I actually touch day to day.

Skills & technologies
The usual suspects I reach for on a daily basis — not a buzzword bingo card, just what I actually use.
Where I've gotten paid to ship — sports tech, an AI email startup, and campus sites. Numbers stay; I just tell the story less stiffly up here.

St. Louis County, MO, USA
What I shipped
- •Delivered and deployed a RESTful API server built in Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB on Microsoft Azure, integrated with Microsoft Graph API to automatically manage employee permissions across internal apps, eliminating 90% of manual onboarding input.
- •Built and deployed a responsive employee directory web app using React.js, HTML, CSS, and Azure (via GitHub Actions CI/CD), which automatically updates and visualizes all departments and enables the creation of distinct permission systems for separate internal apps.
- •Implemented centralized logging and automated notifications in Node.js, ensuring 100% audibility of permission requests and approvals to support compliance and accountability.

What I shipped
- •Built and deployed a conversational AI model in Python with Google Gemini API, integrated with user email accounts to generate context-aware, multi-turn replies, enabling automated handling of hundreds of daily messages.
- •Built a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system in Python using Google Generative AI for embeddings, ChromaDB for vector storage, and LangChain for orchestration - reducing response time from 3 minutes to 1 minute and increasing user satisfaction by 30%.
- •Engineered RESTful API endpoints using Node.js, backed by a Google MySQL database, to serve summary data on email activity - including sender info, location insights, common inquiries, and flagged messages the AI lacked context to answer - giving users visibility and control over their communication flow.

Selected Works
A collection of things I've built, ranging from local business marketing sites to hardware-integrated python scripts.

State Smog 2
Marketing site for a real smog-check shop in LA: responsive layout, embedded map, and straight-to-the-point service + contact info. Pure HTML/CSS — sometimes that's exactly enough.
Live Site
DanteDrop
A small PHP file-sharing app I called DanteDrop: login, uploads, logout — nothing fancy, but it works end-to-end and was a good sandbox for auth and file handling.

LifeQR
LifeQR (repo: medicalQR) is a lightweight app for tracking patient info in a clinic-style workflow — built to be simpler than wrestling a giant EHR for quick demos.

Task Manager
Exactly what it sounds like: a task list in the browser. My very first project — ugly in places, but it still makes me smile when I scroll GitHub.

School Attendance (QR + Pi)
Generate QR codes, email them to students, then scan at the door with a Raspberry Pi and roll attendance into a spreadsheet — coursework meets hardware store energy.

Hiring, collaboration, or just wanna compare notes on a weird bug — drop a line. I'm based in LA these days.
